An AI Index Label for Digital Content
An "AI Index" label for every piece of digital content? Imagine a label that reveals how it was created: AI-generated, human-created, or somewhere in between. Whether it's "Full AI Creation" or "AI with Human Tweaks," this kind of transparency could foster trust, uphold ethical standards, and encourage responsible disclosure, making us more conscious consumers of information.
In this 4th post on AI user interfaces, let's consider transparency in content creation in the genAI era. Knowing who (or what) made something—and how much involvement they had—helps us assess credibility and context more accurately.
You're looking at a report or article and see a tag that says, "Human with AI Tweaks." You immediately know the backbone is human-driven, but enhanced by AI. Or you see "Full AI Creation," in which case you might approach it with a different perspective. It's about understanding the context, ethics, and intention behind each creation. Remember the Creative Commons labels?
How do you feel about dealing with transparency labels for online content?
